Recipe 71: Basic Green Smoothie (Part Two)

I wanted to write that I haven't done a smoothie recipe in a while, which is true, but I think it would be more fair to say that I haven't done a recipe in a while. I am sorry about that! I have been baking and cooking a lot lately, but unfortunately that was mostly under time pressure or in settings in which I was unable to incorporate photography and writing in the cooking process. When I came back from the gym half an hour ago, I decided to share something with you that I have been making a lot lately: my favorite simple green smoothie recipe!
I have shared a basic green smoothie recipe on the blog before, but this one is a little more simple and more seasonal. It also requires different ingredients. So I guess this is... Basic green smoothie part two! I love the fiber and vitamin boost this gives you. I love the taste of the almond milk and the sweetness of the apple, which makes up for the bit of bitterness that you get from the kale. If you are ever feeling bloated or in need of energy, you should definitely try making one of these!


  • Kale - 1 cup
  • Apple, sweet - 2 pieces
  • Almond milk - 1 cup

  1. Quarter your apples, I like to keep the seeds in, and put into a blender. Add the almond milk and kale. Mix until smooth.
Done in a few seconds, which is great if you are always on a run like I am!
