Recipe 32: Chickpea Crisps

Another recipe today? Yes! You know that I love sharing amazing food, so when I figure out something new, I just have to share the recipe!

What do you need?

  • Chickpeas - as many as you want
  • Cayenne pepper, dried
  • Paprika powder
  • Rosemary
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
How to make it?
  1. Preheat your oven to 400-450 degrees F, or around 230 degrees C.
  2. Wash the chickpeas, and dry them entirely using a paper towel. Take of most of the peas' skins, but it is much too much work to take all of them off.
  3. Put the chickpeas in a bowl, and add all herbs - except the salt - just to taste. If you like your food super spicy, add loads of cayenne pepper. Make sure the herbs cover all the peas. Then sprinkle over some olive oil, and again make sure it is spread throughout the peas equally.
  4. Bake the peas in the oven for 30 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes.
  5. When they are still warm, sprinkle salt on top. You can eat them either warm or cold, and they keep in a closed container for about a week.
These chickpeas become incredibly crispy, which makes them the perfect, healthy snack! You can also add them to salads as a healthier alternative to croutons.
As always, enjoy!

Liefs,

Debs.
