Recipe 13: Raspberry-Banana Smoothie

I wanted to call this the Pink Lady Smoothie, but I did not dare after learning all about sexism in university last semester. So boys; even though it is pink, sweet, and gorgeous, you are very welcome to make this as well, and to enjoy it to the fullest!

The recipe is extremely simple. The smoothie only contains three ingredients, and they are easy to get your hands on. It takes about four minutes to make it, and it is really healthy - mainly because of the fruit. Banana makes you happy (yes, that has been scientifically proven - Google it), it gives you a huge energy boost, it regulates blood sugar and thus fights several deadly diseases, it prevents certain sorts of cancer, etc. Raspberries are metabolism boosters, anti-oxidants, they also protect the body against tumor-growth, their vitamins do wonders for your skin, and so forth.
What do you need?
  • Banana
  • Raspberries, frozen or fresh
  • Almond milk, water, or any other sort of non-dairy milk
There are no specific amounts for these ingredients. I used one big glass, and filled half with banana and the other half with raspberries. I added one glass (the same glass) of milk to that.
How to make it?
  1. I am not going to make it more complicated than it is: add everything to a blender and mix until smooth.
