Recipe 10: Roquefort-Cherry Grilled Cheese w/ Banana

You know I love my fruit, so I will just start this recipe off by telling you that adding the banana to your plate is absolutely optional, it is only for decoration and because I personally love eating either vegetables or fruit with any meal. Also, who does not love a little banana? Well, I guess that could be you, so just so you know: if you do not like it, leave it out!

Today's recipe is very simple, but it tastes amazingly good! I knew Roquefort blue cheese and cherry jam taste divine together, but I had not expected it to be this good.
How to make it?
  • Bread - 2 slices
  • Roquefort cheese
  • Cherry jam
  • Oil or butter
  • Banana - 1, optional
How to make it?
  1. Take two slices of bread, and smear Roquefort cheese on one of them. The layer should not be too thick, but it should definitely be thick enough to get the two slices to stick together once the cheese melts. Spread some cherry jam on the other slice, and make sure this is a thin layer. You do not want your grilled cheese to become too sweet, the Roquefort should be the star of the sandwich.
  2. Now grill the sandwich on medium heat. Put some neutral oil or a little bit of butter into a steel pan, and grill on both sides for 2-3 minutes. Let cool down just a little before cutting into pieces.
It is as simple as that: a regular grilled sandwich, but with outstanding flavors. This would be amazing to serve with a little side salad for lunch, or in small strips to decorate another dish with. This is a dish you can eat any day, without spending too much time or money on it. If you like the taste of Roquefort, I will not disappoint you with this one! I promise!

Liefs,

Debs.
